Validated Integration Via NetBackup OpenStorage (OST) Program Offers Customers Faster, More Flexible Solution for Disk Backup with Data Deduplication

The enhanced integration between ExaGrid and Symantec NetBackup offers joint customers a faster, more powerful, and more easily managed solution for disk backup with data deduplication. This news follows ExaGrid’s recently announced support for Symantec Backup Exec 2010.  With this announcement, ExaGrid is the first and only disk-backup appliance vendor to achieve both basic and optimized duplication qualification for both Symantec Backup Exec 2010 and Symantec NetBackup 7.

With the OpenStorage integration, joint ExaGrid and Symantec customers benefit from:

• Seamless integration between NetBackup and the ExaGrid disk backup system, enabling quick installation
• Unified control and tracking of all copies of data via the NetBackup interface; including copies replicated to disaster recovery sites and tape copies
