While keeping offsite copies of backups has traditionally meant maintaining a set of tapes at an offsite location, ExaGrid enables customers to easily maintain and recover offsite backups through the use of an offsite ExaGrid system in conjunction with a primary site ExaGrid system.
You back up your data to the ExaGrid system at your primary location, and the system replicates the deduplicated data at 50:1 WAN-efficiency to an optional secondary site. Data can also be rapidly restored from offsite using ExaGrid’s “Instant DR” capacility. >>
