Bill Andrews
President and CEO

Bill has over 20 years experience in high-tech marketing and has led numerous teams in high-growth companies. Most recently, Bill was the vice president of marketing for Pedestal Software. Pedestal quickly became a leader in the security auditing space. Pedestal was acquired by Altiris, a public company.

Before joining Pedestal Software, Bill was the senior vice president of marketing and sales for eDial, a developer of Voice over IP (VoIP) software. Prior to eDial, Bill was general manager of Adero's streaming media business unit. Bill came to Adero via Adero's acquisition of StarBurst. At StarBurst, Bill served as vice president of marketing and sales. Bill repositioned the company and guided StarBurst into an industry leadership position with 100 percent annual growth. Bill also held vice president of marketing and vice president of sales positions at Live Vault, Microcom and Bitstream. Earlier in his career, Bill held a series of marketing and sales roles at Data General and Compugraphic. He is a graduate of Fitchburg State College and holds a BS in Industrial Technology.

Dave Therrien
Chief Technical Officer and Founder

Dave has over 24 years of experience in high technology and data storage. Prior to ExaGrid Systems, Dave was the VP of Software Development at Storage Networks. Prior to Storage Networks, Dave was with HighGround Systems where he contributed to the success of its Storage Resource Management product. In 1987, Dave was a principal at Epoch Systems Inc, which was acquired by EMC in 1993. While at Epoch Systems, he designed a sophisticated UNIX-based backup and hierarchical storage management product. Dave has written numerous articles on storage networks and has done extensive research in new storage architectures. Dave received his BSEE from Northeastern University.

Bob Davoli
Managing Director, Sigma Partners

Bob joined Sigma in 1995. He has 20 years of experience in the high technology industry. Most recently he was President and CEO of Epoch Systems, the leading vendor of client-server data management software products. He sold the firm in 1993 to EMC for $141 million. Previously, he was the Founder, President and CEO of SQL Solutions, a leading purveyor of services and tools for the relational database market. He sold SQL Solutions to Sybase for stock eventually worth over $100 million. Today the SQL Solutions consulting and system administration tools division of Sybase has over $300 million in annual revenues. He served as an executive officer of Sybase for over two years. Bob has a B.A. in History from Ricker College and studied computer science at Northeastern University. He has been responsible for Sigma's investments in Aprimo, CapitalEngine, Cerulean Technology, Context Integration, Dazel Corporation, eDocs, eRunway, Excara, Excelergy, Global Food Exchange, Idiom Technologies, Internet Business Advantages, Internet Security Systems, Octane Software, Riverton Software Corporation, ServiceSoft Corporation, StorageNetworks, Tradex Technologies, Versata, Vignette Corporation, Vettro, Viveca Software and Visual Mining.

Peter Bell
General Partner, Highland Capital Partners

Peter has worked with and invested in companies in the information security, e-commerce, data center infrastructure, enterprise software and communications industries. Before joining Highland Capital Partners, Peter was Managing Director and founder of Stowe Capital, LLC, which specialized in providing capital and management expertise to emerging growth companies. Prior to establishing Stowe Capital in 2002, Mr. Bell was the co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of StorageNetworks, an information storage software and services company. Under his leadership, Mr. Bell took the company from pioneering concept to over $120 million in annual revenue in three years and closed six rounds of equity capital financing, totaling over $700 million, including a successful IPO in June 2000. Peter began his career at EMC Corporation. During his tenure he held positions in marketing, operations and sales and played a key role in building and managing the Open Storage Group at EMC, a major growth engine for the company. Peter currently serves on the board of directors of Healthbase, PeerApp, Prospectiv and WeiTai Technology LTD, a Chinese storage company. He is also on the board of advisors of Personeta.

David Follett
Former CEO and Founder of Giganet

David is a senior technology executive with over 20 years experience in the semiconductors, optics, communications and storage fields. David was the Founder and CEO of Giganet, a networking start-up that developed the world's first high speed, "virtualized" server and storage networks. Emulex Corporation acquired Giganet in March 2001. Prior to Giganet David was an executive at General Scanning and AT&T Bell Laboratories. David holds multiple patents for work in the areas of computer networking and optics and his articles have appeared in a number of technology publications. David is on the Board of Directors of ExaGrid Systems and he serves on the advisory committees of several venture backed start-ups. David has a BS in Physics and MS in Engineering from Renssellaer Polytechnic Institute.

Brian K. Paul
Managing Director, Lehman Brothers Venture Partners

Brian K. Paul is a managing director in Private Equity and a partner in Lehman Brothers Venture Partners. Prior to joining Private Equity in 1999, Mr. Paul worked in Lehman Brothers' Global Technology and Healthcare Investment Banking Groups, in New York, London and Los Angeles. Within these investment banking groups, Mr. Paul was responsible for public and private equity offerings as well as strategic advisory assignments.

Before joining Lehman Brothers in 1994, Mr. Paul was an associate at First Boston where he was responsible for the purchase and sale of mortgage loan portfolios. He currently is a director of AOptix Technologies, Creekpath Systems, Elemental Security, Isilon Systems, Meru Networks and ShoreTel Communications, and is a board observer of Egenera. He was previously a director of E2O Communications, Inc., sold to JDSU.

Mr. Paul holds an M.B.A. with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
