EXAGRID EXPANDS MANAGEMENT TEAM
Industry Veterans Marc Crespi and Carol Schmitt Join Disk-Based Backup
Leader for Mid-Market and Small Enterprise Companies
Westborough, - Mass. May 30, 2006 - ExaGrid Systems, Inc., the leader in Intelligent Disk-based Data Protection?, today announced that Marc Crespi joined the company as director of product management and Carol Schmitt joined as director of business development.
Crespi is responsible for managing product operations and driving strategy, design and execution of new and existing product lines. Schmitt will focus on further developing strategic partnerships, technology alliances and new channels to bring the benefits of ExaGrid's system to an expanded audience of mid-market and small enterprise companies.

Crespi has more than 15 years of software and hardware experience in the high-technology sector. Prior to joining ExaGrid, he was director of product management for security management products at Altiris. He also served as director of worldwide customer services at Pedestal Software, where he built the team that performed all pre- and post-sales support of the products through a period of significant growth. Prior to Pedestal, Crespi held various leadership roles in customer service and product management at eDial, Convergent Networks and Nortel Networks. Crespi holds a BS degree from Bentley College.
Schmitt has more than 20 years of experience in corporate development, alliance partnerships and technology marketing. Prior to ExaGrid, she founded and served as president of The Konocti Group, a provider of corporate development, marketing and strategic relationship resources for startup companies. She was vice president of business development for Bluesocket, where she forged strategic relationships with companies such as Cisco, HP, Intel, Linksys and RSA.
Earlier in her career Schmitt served as vice president of corporate development at Adero, vice president of marketing at S2 Systems, and held senior-level marketing roles at Sterling Commerce. Schmitt is a graduate of Iowa State University, an active speaker at industry conferences, and is on the Board of Directors for the Los Gatos Education Foundation.
