ExaGrid Systems will provide unqualified support of VMware disk-based backups for its EX-line of disk-based backup solutions. Should ExaGrid Systems suspect that the virtualization layer is the root cause of an incident; the customer will be required to contact the appropriate backup application vendor and/or VMware support provider to resolve the VMware issue. While ExaGrid Systems products are expected to function properly as a backup target for VMware images, there may be performance implications which can invalidate ExaGrid Systems typical sizing and recommendations.
