Location:

ExaGrid’s Hardware System Team integrates off-the-shelf components to build appliances optimized for Tiered Backup Storage. The hardware team is responsible for product lifecycle management, hardware reliability, price/performance optimization, design and testing of the next product generation. In addition, this team is also responsible for the development and maintenance of the software and scripts for managing the hardware components of the appliance. We are looking for an engineer who has experience with hardware manufacturing and has performed some coding and scripting.

Experience:
At least 5 years of working with hardware components and/or software that manages appliances or servers.

Tasks:

• Testing new products from vendors
• Determine best price / performance hardware for new models
• Performance and reliability testing
• Maintenance and development of hardware monitoring, management and test software in Java, Python, C, C++, bash and perl.
• Product lifecycle management
• Technical liaison to operations and our contract manufacturers.
• Assist support with complex hardware issues at customer sites.

Skills:

• Required:
  • Familiar with Server/Appliance Hardware Components (CPU, Memory, HDD, NIC, RAID Controller, etc.)
  • Familiar with Linux, Windows, Networking
• Nice to have:
  • Familiar with Manufacturing Process
  • Experience with any scripting languages, and/or C/C++/Java

Education:
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience
